"Nothing inspires cleanliness like an unexpected guest." -Radhika Mundra
2020 has brought a houseguest that no one expected in the COVID-19 pandemic, and many of us are working to clean & sanitize common surfaces in both our homes & offices. Rings, necklaces, or watches are pieces we wear on a daily basis, so they too need to be cleaned & sanitized on a regulr basis not only for safety, but to keep that shine strong.
We at Ballard & Ballard will take any piece you have and clean it in a supersonic bath with a steam finish to ensure sanitization with a sparkle finish at NO COST to you. We also understand that in today's world, however, most people are looking to minimize trips outside of the house so we have some tips below to wash your favorite pieces on your own. Check them out below:
- The most important tip is that you wash the jewelery you wear on a daily basis often. We reccomend you wash your weddings rings, earrings, and any necklaces at least once a week.
- While specialty kits & liquids are sold to aid in the process, you need nothing more then dish soap & water to clean off all the bacteria and ensure a sparkling finish.
- You can use other home products like toothpaste & baking soda to clean tarnished silver that can be tricky.
- If you're looking to clean any pearls then try some shampoo solution with a makeup brush to cover the surface of each pearl.
- Jewlery shouln't be worn while swimming in chorinated water to ensure strength.
- Always wipe down pieces with a soft cloth to avoud scratching.
- Bring your favorite pieces into us every so often for a free checkup to ensure all settings are holding strong.
This year has brought an unwelcomed houseguest to many, but with these tips we can do our part to keep them from returning & stop the spread.
